Xero has partnered with Bookkeeper360 to launch a new integration that brings accounting and payment services together within a single platform, helping businesses simplify financial operations and reduce administrative complexity.
Announced on 21 October 2026, the collaboration introduces a fully embedded, white-label solution that integrates Xero and Melio’s accounts payable and accounts receivable capabilities directly into Bookkeeper360’s platform.
The integration is the first of its kind for Xero and enables Bookkeeper360 to offer payment services to its clients under its own branding, without requiring users to switch between separate applications.
Simplifying Financial Management
The new integration allows accounting and bookkeeping firms to incorporate payment capabilities into their existing software environments.
Using Melio’s payment technology, firms can manage accounts payable and receivable workflows through a single interface, improving connectivity between accounting systems and financial transactions.
The solution is designed to integrate with existing software infrastructure and supports single sign-on, client portals, and internal management tools.
Dedicated engineering and support teams will also help maintain enterprise workflows, security, and reliability as firms expand their operations.
According to Xero, the integration reduces software costs by removing per-user subscription fees and introducing a simplified per-client pricing structure.
Supporting Accounting Firms and Business Customers
The solution can be adopted by accounting firms regardless of whether they currently use Xero, allowing them to offer branded payment services within their existing platforms.
“Our custom integration with Bookkeeper360 demonstrates what’s possible when platform connectivity is at its best,” said Jonathan Meltzer, Managing Director, US at Xero.
“By utilizing both Xero and Melio’s combined capabilities, we’ve created an even more powerful ecosystem that ensures Bookkeeper360’s customers have direct access to accounting, payments, payroll and analytics capabilities in environments that are native to their core workflows.”
David Emmerman, Chief Operating Officer of Bookkeeper360, said the partnership would help the company combine accounting services with technology designed to simplify financial management for growing businesses.
The integration builds on Xero’s acquisition of Melio in 2025 and supports its wider strategy to expand connected financial services for small and medium-sized businesses.
Expanding Digital Financial Services
Xero says the technology could also be offered to other accounting firms seeking to introduce integrated payment capabilities.
By bringing accounting, payments, and financial management tools together, the companies aim to help firms spend less time managing separate systems and more time providing advisory services to customers.
The launch represents a further development in embedded financial technology, enabling accounting businesses to deliver digital payment services through platforms their clients already use.
