VikingCloud and Fiserv have announced an expanded multi-year partnership to provide enhanced cybersecurity protection to businesses across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Announced on 20 October 2026, the agreement will see Fiserv offer VikingCloud’s Cyber Risk Defense solution to merchants from early 2027, helping businesses identify cybersecurity threats, manage risks, and simplify payment security compliance.
The partnership builds on the companies’ existing relationship and aims to make cybersecurity protection more accessible to small and medium-sized businesses operating in an increasingly complex digital environment.
Strengthening Cybersecurity for Businesses
VikingCloud Cyber Risk Defense provides continuous security monitoring and practical guidance to help businesses identify vulnerabilities and reduce their exposure to cyber threats.
The solution is designed to protect merchants against common cybersecurity risks, including phishing, ransomware, and business impersonation.
A central feature is its Security Score, which combines VikingCloud’s proprietary risk-scoring technology with Mastercard’s cyber risk intelligence.
The system provides businesses with a straightforward A-to-F security rating, helping them understand their current risk exposure and identify areas requiring attention.
According to VikingCloud, the approach is intended to simplify cybersecurity management for business owners who may not have dedicated IT security teams.
Supporting Payment Security and Compliance
The expanded agreement will also help merchants manage Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance requirements.
Cyber Risk Defense combines ongoing security monitoring with risk-reduction guidance, providing businesses with an alternative to relying solely on periodic security assessments.
The offering includes built-in cyber insurance for enrolled merchants, alongside additional protection features that can be accessed through further security measures.
Its modular architecture also allows larger commercial organisations and mid-sized businesses to adopt more advanced cybersecurity capabilities according to their requirements.
Mark Brady, Chief Executive Officer of VikingCloud, said the partnership is designed to give businesses accessible cybersecurity protection and straightforward guidance, allowing owners to focus on running their operations.
Expanding Cybersecurity Access Across International Markets
VikingCloud currently provides cybersecurity and compliance services to more than four million business locations across over 70 countries.
Through the expanded partnership, Fiserv will incorporate Cyber Risk Defense into its merchant services offering, extending access to businesses operating across North America and EMEA.
Lia Cao, Chief Revenue Officer, Enterprise and Platforms at Fiserv, said the collaboration would help merchants adopt a more proactive approach to cybersecurity through solutions designed for continuous protection.
The agreement reflects the increasing importance of integrating cybersecurity into payment technology services, particularly as smaller businesses face growing requirements to protect customer information, maintain operational resilience, and comply with industry security standards.
Fiserv is expected to begin offering VikingCloud Cyber Risk Defense in early 2027.
