Oracle has unveiled a new artificial intelligence-powered cybersecurity platform developed using OpenAI technology, designed to help enterprises identify security vulnerabilities and strengthen protection across their digital infrastructure.
Announced at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas on 27 October 2026, Oracle AI Security Mesh combines OpenAI’s advanced cybersecurity models with Oracle’s security expertise to help organisations detect weaknesses, investigate potential threats and assess corrective actions.
The new platform is designed to operate across on-premises infrastructure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and other cloud environments, supporting businesses managing increasingly complex IT systems.
Strengthening enterprise cybersecurity with AI
Oracle AI Security Mesh uses AI-powered testing capabilities to examine applications and infrastructure for potential vulnerabilities.
By analysing application behaviour and investigating how security weaknesses could be exploited, the platform aims to help security teams identify and prioritise risks that could affect business operations.
It also provides supporting evidence, including testing results and steps to reproduce identified vulnerabilities, allowing organisations to evaluate potential fixes before implementation.
Customers retain control over the testing process, with defined permissions and approval requirements governing the actions AI systems can perform.
Phil Newman, Senior Vice President of Security and Identity at Oracle, said the development would help organisations identify and resolve security risks more quickly while retaining control over sensitive operations.
Supporting secure AI adoption
Alongside AI Security Mesh, Oracle has highlighted additional enterprise security capabilities, including OCI Identity Assurance and Zero Trust Packet Routing.
OCI Identity Assurance uses biometric verification to strengthen identity checks, while Zero Trust Packet Routing helps organisations enforce network access policies and restrict unauthorised communication between systems.
These technologies are intended to provide additional safeguards as businesses increase their use of AI agents and automated workflows.
The collaboration with OpenAI forms part of Oracle’s wider efforts to integrate advanced AI capabilities into its enterprise technology portfolio.
With organisations increasingly adopting AI-powered applications and services, the announcement reflects growing demand for security technologies capable of protecting complex, interconnected digital environments.
