Motorola and Google announce two new Google Photos features

Motorola and Google are evolving their long-standing partnership to bring even more intuitive experiences to Android users, specifically through a new wardrobe feature in Google Photos. Since Google Photos serves as the native gallery for Motorola devices, this collaboration now allows users to digitise their entire closet effortlessly.

By scanning users’ photo library, the app identifies clothing and accessories to create clean, snapshot-style images of their pieces. This organised view makes it easier than ever to plan outfits, mix and match different looks and even share potential ensembles with friends directly from the app. It is designed to save time during busy mornings or while packing for trips by encouraging users to get inspired by the clothes they already own.

In addition to this digital stylist tool, Motorola is integrating Google Photos Memories into its brand-new software feature called Daily Drops. This personalised content feed refreshes twice a day to provide a snapshot of the user’s world, including weather updates, calendar events and the latest news. By including Google Photos Memories, Motorola has created a seamless way for users to rediscover and relive their favourite moments within their daily routine, marking the first time memories have been woven into this type of personalised mobile feed.

The Google Photos wardrobe feature is set to launch on a variety of Android and Motorola devices in select regions over the coming months. Meanwhile, Daily Drops has already begun its rollout across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Users of the new Motorola razr family can expect to see these updates arrive shortly after their devices launch, ensuring a highly personalised and stylish experience right out of the box.
